The Clothe Done

    O thou wrapped up (in the mantle)! End of Ayah 1 Arise and deliver thy warning! End of Ayah 2 And thy Lord do thou magnify! End of Ayah 3 And thy garments keep free from stain! End of Ayah 4 And all abomination shun! End of Ayah 5 Nor expect, in giving, any increase (for thyself)! End of Ayah 6 But, for thy Lord´s (Cause), be patient and constant! End of Ayah 7 Finally, when the Trumpet is sounded, End of Ayah 8 That will be- that Day - a Day of Distress,- End of Ayah 9 Far from easy for those without Faith. End of Ayah 10 Leave Me alone, (to deal) with the (creature) whom I created (bare and) alone!- End of Ayah 11 To whom I granted resources in abundance, End of Ayah 12 And sons to be by his side!- End of Ayah 13 To whom I made (life) smooth and comfortable! End of Ayah 14 Yet is he greedy-that I should add (yet more);- End of Ayah 15 By no means! For to Our Signs he has been refractory! End of Ayah 16 Soon will I visit him with a mount of calamities! End of Ayah 17 For he thought and he plotted;- End of Ayah 18 And woe to him! How he plotted!- End of Ayah 19 Yea, Woe to him; How he plotted!- End of Ayah 20 Then he looked round; End of Ayah 21 Then he frowned and he scowled; End of Ayah 22 Then he turned back and was haughty; End of Ayah 23 Then said he: "This is nothing but magic, derived from of old; End of Ayah 24 "This is nothing but the word of a mortal!" End of Ayah 25 Soon will I cast him into Hell-Fire! End of Ayah 26 And what will explain to thee what Hell-Fire is? End of Ayah 27 Naught doth it permit to endure, and naught doth it leave alone!- End of Ayah 28 Darkening and changing the colour of man! End of Ayah 29 Over it are Nineteen. End of Ayah 30 And We have set none but angels as Guardians of the Fire; and We have fixed their number only as a trial for Unbelievers,- in order that the People of the Book may arrive at certainty, and the Believers may increase in Faith,- and that no doubts may be left for the People of the Book and the Believers, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the Unbelievers may say, "What symbol doth Allah intend by this?" Thus doth Allah leave to stray whom He pleaseth, and guide whom He pleaseth: and none can know the forces of thy Lord, except He and this is no other than a warning to mankind. End of Ayah 31 Nay, verily: By the Moon, End of Ayah 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, End of Ayah 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- End of Ayah 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), End of Ayah 35 A warning to mankind,- End of Ayah 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- End of Ayah 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. End of Ayah 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. End of Ayah 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, End of Ayah 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: End of Ayah 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" End of Ayah 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; End of Ayah 43 "Nor were we of those who fed the indigent; End of Ayah 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; End of Ayah 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, End of Ayah 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." End of Ayah 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. End of Ayah 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- End of Ayah 49 As if they were affrighted asses, End of Ayah 50 Fleeing from a lion! End of Ayah 51 Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out! End of Ayah 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, End of Ayah 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: End of Ayah 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! End of Ayah 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. End of Ayah 56
